The land of Tver is the wide Volga, quiet villages, merchant mansions and pine forests. This is where Afanasy Nikitin was born — the Tver merchant who, thirty years before Vasco da Gama, reached India and brought back a book that became the first Russian travel diary about that distant land.
We invite you to spend three days walking through his city — on foot, unhurried, with a real guide in the role of the merchant. And in the evening — heading out of town to the Shanti eco-estate, where the same pines, the same quiet and the same river have stood for five centuries.
